Rosa Miranda was born in Málaga, she obtains degrees as Piano and Singing Teacher and a Master’s Degree in Music Therapy. She studies acting at Antón Chejov Acting School.
Rosa has studied, among others, with Lola Bosom, Santiago Calderón, Aquiles Machado, Francisco Ortiz, Daniel Muñoz, Ana Luisa Chova, Teresa Berganza, and has studied vocal repertoire with Miguel Zanetti, J. A. Álvarez Parejo y Jorge Robaina.
She has performed in the most important theatres in Spain: Auditorio Nacional and Teatro Monumental de Madrid, Teatro Cervantes and Teatro María Cristina of Málaga, Auditorio de Zaragoza, Palau de la Música of Valencia, Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao, Teatro Pérez Galdos of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Auditorio de Tenerife, Teatro de la Maestranza de Sevilla, Gran Teatro de Córdoba.
Rosa has performed the opera main roles of Dido and Eneas by Purcell (Dido), Apolo and Jacinto (Apolo), Bastien and Bastienne (Bastienne), Don Giovanni by Mozart (Donna Elvira), Romeo et Juliette by Gounod (Juliette), Gianni Schicchi by Puccini(Laurette), La voix humaine by Poulenc, Cendrillon de P. Viardot(Cendrillon), as well as the following zarzuelas Gigantes and Cabezudos (Pilar), El dúo de la Africana by F. Caballero (Antonelli), La del Manojo de Rosas by Sorozábal (Ascensión), Los Gavilanes de Guerrero( Adriana), El barberillo de Lavapiés by Barbieri (Marquesita) and La Revoltosa by Chapí (Soledad).
Symphony repertoire and outstanding performances are Gloria by Vivaldi, Mass in Bm, Magnificat and Cantata no147 by Bach, Requiem and Coronation by Mozart, Symphony No9 by Beethoven, A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Mendelshonn, ein Deutsches Réquiem by Brahms, Carmina Burana by C. Off and Tango Mass by Palmeri.
Rosa Miranda is part of the music group Angelicata Consort, a group dedicated to perform early music, in particular European Renaissance and Baroque music. She recorded her first Spanish, South American and French music album together with the pianist Ángel Sanzo.
